Affordable snacking in Sri Lanka and India

The image at the top of this page shows the first breakfast I have eaten since arriving in India. It comprised two samosas, six bananas, two fried sweet breads and a couple of other fried breads with herbs, plus a bag of tea. This cost me 56 Indian rupees - which is the equivalent of 66p.

The image below shows the last lunch I bought in Sri Lanka, before catching my flight. It comprised rice and curry, two pancakes, two egg rotis, two vegetable rotis - plus six bananas. This cost me 280 Sri Lankan rupees, which is £1.50.
This last image shows a plate of frog spawn served to me on the flight between Sri Lanka and India:
It was quite interesting.

I need more practise at pouring tea out of a bag. And surfing. If I can master those two things over the next few months, I will feel that I am doing well.
